  • • Minimum Master’s degree with senior-level experience 7–10 years’ experience in higher education, executive training, or programme leadership

    • Strong expertise in programme development, partnerships, and business growth

    • Experience in online and blended learning is an advantage

  1. Role Overview
    The Head provides strategic, academic, operational, and commercial leadership for all
    professional, executive, and certificate programs at Accra Metropolitan University. The role
    focuses on building a high-impact, revenue-generating, industry-aligned learning ecosystem that
    supports lifelong learning, employability, and workforce development.

    Core Purpose
    ✅Expand the University’s presence in continuing and executive education
    ✅Develop market-driven, industry-relevant programs
    ✅ Build strategic partnerships (industry, government, international)
    ✅ Generate sustainable revenue streams
    ✅ Ensure quality, compliance, and learner impact

    Key Functional Responsibilities
    1. Strategic Leadership
    ✅ Develop and execute the University’s professional education strategy
    ✅ Identify trends (micro-credentials, lifelong learning, workforce transformation)
    ✅ Establish and grow a dedicated Professional Programs unit
    2. Program Development
    ✅ Design and manage certificate, executive, CPD, and short courses
    ✅ Ensure programs are competency-based, flexible, and industry-driven
    ✅ Promote areas like business, ICT, governance, sustainability, and AI
    3. Quality Assurance
    ✅ Maintain academic standards, accreditation alignment, and program evaluation systems
    ✅ Ensure strong curriculum, assessment, and learner support
    4. Industry Engagement
    ✅ Build partnerships with corporates, government, NGOs, and professional bodies
    ✅ Deliver customized corporate training and co-designed programs
    5. Revenue & Business Development
    ✅ Drive commercialization and financial sustainability
    ✅ Set targets for enrolment, revenue, and partnerships
    ✅ Develop pricing models and business cases
    6. Marketing & Recruitment
    ✅ Lead branding, outreach, and student recruitment strategies
    ✅ Leverage digital platforms, alumni, and corporate networks 
    7. Operations & Delivery
    ✅ Oversee program delivery, scheduling, facilitators, and learner experience
    ✅ Ensure flexible delivery (online, hybrid, weekend formats)
    8. Digital Learning
    ✅ Integrate LMS, virtual classrooms, e-certification, and analytics
    ✅ Drive innovation in digital and blended learning
    9. Staff Leadership
    ✅ Supervise and develop staff, facilitators, and adjunct experts
    ✅ Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence
    10. Monitoring & Reporting
    ✅ Track performance metrics (enrolment, revenue, satisfaction, ROI)
     Report to Management, Senate, and Council
